 Meet Layla and Jeffrey.We started our company in 2004 which also happened to be the year we engaged to marry. Our company name became a symbol for our feelings about each other and our shared passion for music.
Since 2004 our company has evolved tremendously moving far beyond the most common perceptions most people have of wedding Djs.
We started out like most other DJ companies and just did what we were expected to do, play music and announce activities. We soon discovered that this approach was not working out too well. Since planning and directing were not a part of our job description we were essentially getting instructions handed to us by people who had no prior experience planning weddings. We often times found ourselves improvising the best we could to make things flow smoothly while at the same time being careful not to overstep the bounds of our perceived role.
In 2007 we joined the American Disc Jockey Association. This would be the best decision we could have ever made for our business as it gave us access to other Djs who were taking their businesses to new heights and were willing to share their success secrets. It did not take long before we took our company to a new level we never thought possible! How did we do this? We learned to break free from old expectations and allow ourselves to think outside the box. We gave ourselves permission to unleash our creativity and in turn started encouraging our clients to be as creative as they wanted to be. We started helping our clients with their agenda building and we took on a directing role which resulted in our events flowing seamlessly. We also started getting to know our clients which enabled us to better represent them to their guests and personalize their experience. This resulted in the guests feeling a genuine emotional connection to our clients as we would creatively reveal important aspects of their back stories.
The last four wedding seasons have been nothing short of amazing and it just keeps getting better and better! We can say without a doubt that we absolutely love what we do!
