Creative Storytelling

When you really think about it, weddings truly are celebrations of love stories. Often times officiants or toasters will share stories that help the guests feel more connected to the newlywed couples. Other times the couples themselves want the opportunity to share their stories with their guests. Some couples will post their stories to their wedding websites while others want to tell them in a more emotionally impactful way. This is one of many storytelling techniques we offer… (I will be adding more examples very soon!)

Marcus & Taylor loved the idea of telling their love story. I recorded their voices well before their big day and carefully edited the best parts of their story into their chosen first dance song. Needless to say there was not a dry eye in the house!

Randy & Virginia had an amazing love story and were beyond excited when we gave them the opportunity to creatively tell it. At the conclusion of their first dance they received a standing ovation from their friends and family!

Sometimes couples will choose to have us tell their love stories for them. Chelsea and Jason were one such couple who had a great story to tell! We included their story as part of their introduction.

This testimonial was given back in 2008 by Amber & Justin. They explained how our storytelling techniques made a huge difference to the quality of their overall wedding experience.

Other times we are able to creatively tell stories via traditional wedding activities. When we met with Steve and Adrian we naturally asked them to walk us through their personal stories. Steve revealed that he played football in College and was the star quarterback two years in a row. We asked Steve if any of his former teammates would be attending the wedding. He confirmed about 5 members would be attending. He also revealed that his brother played on the team, was one of his linebackers and would be his best man. We suggested that he throw a football to his former teammates as part of the garter toss. Both Steve and Adrian said “OMG! Yes lets absolutely do that!”

We discreetly hid a football under Adrian’s chair and instructed Steve to wrap the garter around it after removing it from Adrian’s leg. When Steve came up for air he held up the football as a signal to his buddies to come to the dance floor. The theme from Monday Night Football played loudly as all of Steve’s teammates formed a huddle and grunted his name. Steve’s brother hiked the ball to him and the catcher performed a hilarious victory dance for the guests!
